In Australia EMFACE® is a device with a hands-free applicator intended for use in combination with the main device and with single use electrodes. The device is intended to provide local muscle stimulation and local tissue heating for the purpose of elevating tissue temperature and increase in local blood circulation resulting in strengthening of facial muscles and reduction of facial wrinkles and rhytids. In Australia Emsculpt NEO® is the device used for application of combination of bipolar radiofrequency with high-intensity electromagnetic energy for body reshaping, muscle toning, building and strengthening and fat reduction by lipolysis. When the Device is connected with the optional accessory EMSELLA Chair Applicator, the intended purpose is extended as follows: to provide pelvic floor muscle strengthening for treatment of urinary incontinence. Patient should be continuously monitored and therapy discontinued immediately if the patient reports pain or excessive heat. Do not apply therapy over clothing or scar tissue, or if patient has electronic or metal implants. As with any heat-based therapy, burns may result.
